Aug 28, 2009 at 10:07 AM

Hi All,

I cannot see some webparts on the PKS pages after I installed it.They are displayed as below:

Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer. If the problem persists, contact your Web server administratorPlease help me to resolve this.

on Edit page Modified Shared webpart mode it displays the below error:

Could not load XSL file. The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002)

I could not find any solution to fix this .Please help me in resolving this.

Thanks in Advance,

Harika.

Hi Harika,

Are you sure that your installation was error free? I would suggest that you take a look the ssm.log file and check if any errors have been logged.

If the installation wasn't successful, uninstall PKS and re-install it.

Hi Harika,

I am facing the same issue, any clue to resolve it?

Hi Neha,

You should install PKS on the root site, not on the sub site collection.

For example, install it on http://servername:port/

not on http://servername:port/sites/sitename/, there is another PKS package for this.

Thanks,

Harika.

Hey Harika,

Thanks a lot for the quick response but I want to install PKS at site collection level only like http://servername/PODCAST/pages/default.aspx. After configuring the webpart at the specified location its unable to show all the webparts in the home page. Do you have any workaround on this issue. You spoke about another PKS package for this. Can u please brief on this..As per the PKS documentation available there is one more doc regarding PKS installation in sub site. Just need clarification on this.

Regards,

Neha

Dear all, I am facing the same problem like what harika223 mentioned. And from I have learned, this problem occured because of the Site Address. Like myself, I installed PKS using http://windows2003:1986/ as the root address. But when i try to run the site using IP address , http://10.11.104.46:1986/ , web part error shown in the screen.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks.

I believe you installed PKS as site collection, and using explicit inclusion to make it show as subsite. The solution:

1) Go to the affected page. Click Site Action > Edit Page

2) Export the webparts to your local machine.

3) Open webpart using Visual Studio

4) Change all /Style Library/ to /<subsite>/Style Library

5) Save, then import back the webpart to the page.
