I have installed the Feb release on a 2008 server with Sql2005, but I can not seem to get the Media encoder Service to start. I have checked and rechecked config settings. I am hoping someonne can look at my settings below an see if they see what I am missing... I am hoping a second pair of eyes will see something.

Here is the error from the encoder log:

Hi neoinbiz,

In your PKS Configuration Settings, the value for MediaEncoder.MontiorPath is incorrect. It should be C:\UploadFiles.
Please correct this entry and try to start the Media Encoder Service.

Hope this helps.

That is my fault on the question. I incorrectly mistyped that path in the question . It is correct in the MediaEncoder.MonitorPath for the site.

I'm facing the very same problem.

Hi scvinod,

From you other post it seems that the Media Encoder Service has started in you deployment. If that is not the case then please ensure that you have created a virtual directory named as “UploadFolder” within IIS Manager under Layouts -> NetworkFileStore directory of the site where PKS is deployed and set the Path to the UploadFiles folder. And after doing this check that when you try to upload a file does it gets uploaded in UploadFiles folder. If not, then what error is being logged in Encoder.log file? Also do an IISRESET and restart the Media Encoder Service.

Hope this helps.
