"Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer. If the problem persists, contact your Web server administrator."

We had this same problem, and found that the April install and configuration document leaves out this important part (which was included in previous documents):

1.1.1     Set Permissions on the User Information List

In order to correctly display the Podcaster web part, users will need to read from the user information list.  By default they don’t have this right.

1.    On the left navigation bar under Groups, click All People.

2.    Click Settings, List Settings.

3.    Click Permissions for this List.

4.    Click the New button.

5.    Add Domain Users to the list.

6.    Grant the Restricted Read permission.

7.    Uncheck the box to send them an email, and click the OK button.
