Changing filters

Nov 5, 2008 at 6:41 AM
Hi
We all know that at PKS we can filter the files in terms of language, target audience etc.
My question is how can I change those filters?
For example at target audience section I want to add customers.
is there any way to do this?

I saw that we can change the first level from "PKS Left Navigation Items"  but I coudn't find the second level

Yes, the filters can be changed. Please refer to the "How To: Manage Series" document included with the release.

Thanks,

Thanks
But my problem is to chance current navigation. No to add new ones.
For example I want to add Turksih tab under languages.
Is this possible by configuration or do I need to change PKS.SharePoint.Navigation.dll

To change the current navigation, for example adding Turkish is a two step process.

First add Turkish to the Language Column in the Site Columns (Podcasting Kit for SharePoint > Site Settings > Site Column Gallery > Edit Column)

Second add Turkish to the Language Column in the PKS Podcasts List (Podcasting Kit for SharePoint > PKS Podcasts > Settings > Edit Column)

Thank you very much it helped me a lot :)

I have one more question.

How can I change sorting parameters at the home page. for example what can I do to sort the podcasts by comment count

For basic changes, from the web part properties the query override can be changed.

<OrderBy><FieldRef Name="PodcastPublishDate" Ascending="False" /></OrderBy>

For more advanced changes try looking PKSMain.XSL and PKSItem.xsl
