Thumbnails are not generated for WMV and audio files

Thumbnails are not generated for WMV files and default thumbnail not being generated for audio file. Tried mp4 file and thumbnail was created successfully.

Following entry is logged in encoder.log

Try to look if you did the step "Configuring Podcast List". Did you the put the value "75" in the 5º step of "Configuing Podcast List" ?
Try to see that. If isn't it, follow the Media Encoder steps again.
It should work.

I have also this problem and event viewer reports this:

Error loading and running event receiver UpdateDurationThumbnailHandler.UpdateDurationThumbnailHandler in PKS.UpdateDurationThumbnailHandler,Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=3a737f14c332a521. Additional information is below.

: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.


I also get this error when I edit on video item and remove and upload again.
I have the October 2008 release.

Any help is welcome,

I also have the same problem
and I'm using september release

Anybody knows how to solve it?

By the way I'm not sure but users says that the problem occures when the video file is larger than 1GB
