Encoder license

To run PKS on MOSS 2007, the installation guide says I need to Microsoft Encoder 2.0.  First, I'm guessing 3.0 is the latest version so that should work.  Second, do I use the free version of encoder 3 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b6c8015b-e5de-46c0-98cd-1be12eef89a8&displaylang=en) or the paid version (http://store.microsoft.com/microsoft/Expression-Encoder-3/product/CE462F49/?WT.mc_id=encodersite)?  What would is the difference?  Is it just the H.264 encoding or the streaming?  Can someone help clarify?

Hi mikesynn,

You can use either Microsoft Expression Encoder 2.0 or 3.0 for almost all PKS functionality.

The paid version will provide you the capability of encoding your videos in H.264 format and you would be able to use the iTunes Feed functionality.

Hope this helps.
